Funerals at St Mark's Buderim

When a loved one dies, it is important that the funeral both honours the deceased and also cares for the bereaved. At St Mark's, we take this dual role very seriously. We consider it a privilege to conduct a funeral.

St Mark’s is available to all in our community for funerals and memorial services. When planning a funeral there are suggested services provided in A Prayer Book for Australia and the Book of Common Prayer. It is important, however, and entirely possible to craft a service that fits with each individual circumstance. Our parish clergy have a great deal of experience in planning services and are only too willing to help at what can be a very difficult time.

Most of the local Funeral Directors have assisted with funerals at St Mark’s and they will often contact us in the first instance to confirm times and dates.

Of course it can be a great gift to families and loved ones if you have given some thought to your funeral while you are still fit and healthy. You may like to talk with the Parish Priest to plan your own funeral and so spare your family the task when the time comes

Ashes of parishioners and past parishioners of St Mark’s can be interred in the Memorial Garden. For details of costs and procedures please contact the Parish Office: 5445 2060
